There are over 12 million holiday/vacation rental owners worldwide, and they all have to advertise their property somewhere. If you have a website related to travel, holidays, property, or similar, you may be missing out on a real money spinner.
There are a number of Holiday Rentals Affiliate Programs available to join, but which ones do you choose.
The best advice I can give you is to put yourself in the shoes of your customers, and ask yourself. If I was a customer, would I be interested in this product or service. There is no point having a website on cars and trying to promote a holiday rentals affiliate program. Some of your customers may well be interested in the program, but the majority will not be.
You also need to choose a program that pays a good rate of commission. There is no point dedicating yourself to promoting an affiliate program if all as they are paying is a paltry 5% per sign up. Try to go for something that pays at least 25%.
Be careful of companies that withhold your commissions until you reach a threshold. If the rate of commission is low, and the threshold is 100 dollars, you could be waiting years for your money.
Choose text links to promote the program rather than banners. People know that banners mean advertising. Text links are far more subtle and generate a far higher click through rate.
Also read the small print. Some companies have terms and conditions that are a mile long, and when you actually translate them into a language that you can understand, you will find that the partnership is very much in their interests and not yours.
On the whole, holiday/vacation rentals affiliate programs are a good source of additional income for property, travel, holiday related websites. Our featured program is from rentals365, they pay 50% commission per sign up, which works out to £49.50. They do not withhold your commissions until you reach a threshold, and they pay out on time. Their program can viewed by clicking on the link at the bottom of this article.
